ok, so there are A LOT of boybands floating around there in asia right now...me, being a crazy fangirl of course, know most of them. the point of this entry however, is to RANK them and say my favorites i guess. it's a segment thing i will do for different types of music or styles, etc. today, the "rank it" category is...well, korean boybands as already mentioned. i have not looked into all of them yet, so i will update this when i know more of them i guess...anyway so here(in no particular order) are the FAVORITES, WHY, and PICTURES (of course).
DBSK/TVXQ: ok, so basically they are dominating asia, so OF COURSE i know who they are...(these are kind of short; because other wise i will go into full rant mode and they will take up the page XD)
1. HERO/JAE JOONG~
he is definately my favorite i have to say. why? well, i like pretty things i guess and him AND his voice are exactly that XD
2. XIAH/JUNSU!
hahaha, i love me some dolphin~ his singing is really captivating and his dancing is like WOAH! not only is he amazingly talented, he's extremely cute, with such adorkable loveableness! dolphin duck boy forever~ (nicknames of his, i can explain if you want...)
3. MAX/CHAMGMIN:D
MAGNAE!!!! (youngest member) i also kinda like his singing, he has such a strong powerful voice!
4. Uknow/Yunho
the awesome leader! and he is quite a good one at that! good dancer too~
5. Micky/Yoochun
cute, funny, and he COMPOSES (the others have too, but i think he's done more?) which is AWESOME:D
FT ISLAND: not as popular, but one of my FAVORITES, hands down! i love hongki's vocals!!!!
1. WONBIN!!! NOOO!!! (yes, i am screaming and crying at the same time right now...)
NOOO!!! yea, again with the screaming, sorry, it is just too tragic for us primmadonnas! (name for fti fans)
wonbin is NO LONGER a member *cry* i'm sure fti got in the news a lot about it too and about how they got a new member like RIGHT after. anyway, enough of the sad...why i love wonbin? well he's a cutie and he can play the guitar and i love the way his eyes just smile! somehow i'm just drawn to him he is one of my favorites and will surely be missed! (did i mention he can sing too?)
1. wait a minute...is that ANOTHER #1? well, yessshhh, it's a battle right now between the OLD guitar player and NEW guitar player as my favorite! weirdly enough, not planned whatsoever, but SONG SEUNG HYUN became my new favorite member, granted i love him as much as hongki and co, i just put him as 1st cuz i'm CURRENTLY in love with him, ha! he will never replace wonbinnnie in my heart, but he definately has staked a place for him self with his killer, refreshing smile, his hansome-ness, and cute, quirky sense of humor.
2. HONGKI AND MINHWANNN!
ahahaha, i can't choose!!! i love the cute magnae drummer, but i also am in LOVE with hongki's vocals! hongki never fails to impress me!!! and minhwan? well, not only do i like pretty things, but i like cute things as well XDDD (hahaha, so vain, but at least they have talent too~)
3. JAEJIN...AND JONG HYUN~
i really like a lot of the members equally, i can't decide who better really, they're all great XD! these 2 are really awesome at the instruments they play but ALSO have cute singing voices to boot! they are not as dramatic as hongstar (hongki's nickname, ha) but they definately have vocal abilties!
SUJU! (aka Super Junior)
so many member, so i'll try to keep it short! i'm putting members+traits i like the MOST or that stand out the most to me about them?
1. Yesung+Donghae
Yesung=vocals(he has a gorgeous voice), personality(sweetie!), i just love him~
Donghae=so handsome XDDD and cool+singing+dancing, he's DONGHAE, what more do you want???
2. Kibum+Kyun Hyun+Leeteuk+Hangeng ( i could NOT choose, hahaha)
Kibum=interesting, cool, love the way he speaks english too~
Kyu Hyun=singing!!! cute!!! magnae!!!
Leeteuk=teukie~ leader, funny, cute, admirable, nice voice too~
Hangeng=martial arts ability, cool, hard working, i really admire him!
3. Siwon+Sungmin+Eunhyuk
Siwon=HOT, stylish, cool:D
Sungmin=baby face, cutie, sweet voice
Eunhyuk=DANCE DANCE DANCE XD
4. Kangin
Kangin=good voice, interesting, funny
5. Ryeowook+Heechul
Heechul=funny, cute, nice voice, unique, a bit random and strange but hot at times? aiya^^;;;
Ryeowook=nice voice, cute...a bit girly for me tho...
6. Shindong=voice, dancer, he really surprises me sometimes...a bit on the strange side like heechul sometimes too, lol...

1. KYU JONG!!!
i don't know what it is, i just love the guy! he does not get as many singing parts as some others, but i love his voice! cute, smiling, sweetie~
dacning is also good i guess :)
2. Young Saeng!
HIS VOICE!!! i love the way he sings, basically so much he's number 2!
3. Hyung Joon+Hyun Joong
aiii, why must your names be SO similar? why??? well anyway...the first one listed-HYUNG JOON- is the cute and sweet rapping magnae of the group! he has an awesome smile and is such a cutie! HYUN JOONG-on the other hand- is the cool and sexy, also rapping i might note, leader! he is hugely known as the pretty boy from the boys over flowers drama in korea, lol. he is just gorgeous with singing, acting, dancing abilities too! such a pretty face~
4. Jungmin
Mianhe~ jungmin! it's just that my love for the others outshines all else...jungmin is still quite talented though! while hyun joong was off being a pretty flower and kyu+ys+hyung joon were off being triple-s, this guy was in a musical! really cool and really funny guy:)
SHINEE!!! perhaps the closest in age to me, woo hoo go young people! (as retarded as that sounds)

love him to death! i REALLY like the way he dances+raps and he singing voice is quite nice too! can't keep my eyes off him XD
2. Jonghyun+Taemin
Jonghyun: vocals man, i love the way he sings! so beautiful and sexy~
Taemin: Go little dancer, go! little as in AGE, this dancing magnae that's got all the moves is 15! wowza!
3. Onew+Minho
Onew: ONEW SANGTAE!!! (onew condition) cute, and klutzy, leader! poor guy, physics does not seem to like him, as it seems he's been getting into more and more accidents these days (deemed the "onew condition", onew sangtae!) i hope the world and physics will be kinder to this poor innocent hard working leader, onew hwaiting, fight physics!
Minho: rapper and an overall cool guy! he also has a really cute smile~
A'ST1! down with super junior! wait, WHAT??? yea, ELF went CRAZY when a video of them (a'st1) was found where they were saying "overthrow super junior" personally, i think it was just a lighthearted JOKE, i mean, seriously, it's not that bad, just a little friendly competition is all. they're about the same age as suju and debuted after.

UKISS: i hate them but i like them, i don't really know...i don't really think that their music and dancing is up the the standards of some of the other kpop boybands, but the member themselves are quite interesting and being young and in the music industry, it's hard, so i guess props to them for that and also the multilingual thing:D the oldest members are actually the same age as a lot of 2PM members tho, but they seem so much younger, idk, i don't really like how they are "acting all young" and stuff, like in their single "not young", which is ironically about not being young, but they are giving off the "i'm a dongsaeng" (means like younger sibling) vibe from just saying "i'm not young anymore" when they'd give off a MORE mature vibe if they something different...aiii^_^;;; but i really like the MEMBERS themselves, they are really quite cute and i hope they can pump out more MATURE music eventually so the haters will go away and i will not feel embarassed to be a fan T_T (sorry UKISS fans btw, i don't mean to bash them) anyway, here's the ranking and some info so u know why i like them...
1. kevin
one word, fruitcake. i know, he seems like a total fruitcake, but he's actually not. he's a really sweet nice boy, i've been a fan of him since xing! he gives off the girly vibe not because he is, but because...well, he LOOKS like one, hahaha~ he is a pretty boy and his voice is higher than others and he's REALLY skinny (though i hear he eats a lot, lol)
2. kibum! (known as marumir in xing?)
the best ever! i love him a lot, he is a funny sweetie and the younger brother of HYUNG JOON of SS501! he and his bro get along so well and they are the cutest thing ever~ kibum has cute smile and voice, i've been a fan of his since xing as well XD
3. alexander
aiii, this boy is "special" lol...he's a fun and playful guy who is surprisingly talented; he can speak 7 languages and he's only 19!
4. soo hyun
power vocal anyone? this guy has got the moves and grooves(ewww, rhyme-age) to go along with his powerful voice as well!

XING (the new one): so when it comes to xing, i think people group them a lot with UKISS simply because kevin and kibum/marumir were in xing before. but that was 1st generation xing, the new generation is quite different. i know there are probably haters, but i genuinely think the new xing is quite talented! they haven't had as much hype or advertising (i think xing entertainment sucks at that) as other new groups (even though they are technically old, i count them as new because new xing vs old xing is so diff it's like a whole new group) but they are TALENTED! infact, i think they are much better musically than UKISS, though UKISS is getting more attention...anyway, here are the boys~
1. WHITE, LEE SU HOON!
my love, forever and forever and forever be~ ok, i know he can come off as a little freaky (in the memorize video he has claws, like literally0_o) and possibly, well vampire-ish and emo (though that's a turn-on for some?) but he's actually a nice, sweet guy! the whole scowling mad angry thing? he doesn't try to, it just happens that way, poor boy!
2. soul, in jun
he's really enthusiastic about singing, which is totally cool^^ i actually think i'm a lot like him, maybe singing wise too? (though i have some work to do to get as good...) but this boy may not be the prettiest face, but he is cute, energetic, and sincere!
3. husky-kipalang-rising-gun
4 way tie for 3rd...you know i can never make uo my mind, so yea...
husky: awesome voice! the name "husky" suits him, his voice is husky in a good way. he could sing anything and i'd still listen, his voice is just one of those that has a certain "charisma" to it...
kipalang: DONGSAENG, lol, i'm sorry i like saying that word...since it doesn't happen often, heh. anyway, so this kid here? yea, he can dance. and when i say dance, i mean DANCE; popping and everything! he is like a dancing machine...sometimes i wonder if he's a robot...
rising: also good dance, not a dancing robot like the kip, but smooth and has this certain vibe about him i like...also like his voice, very interesting and good
gun: SO FREAKIN HANDSOME! he is so handsome, he'd make an awesome model. he is now on the show "ulzzang genereation" too, quite awesome~ also a great rapper tooo~
4. yoon+zen
2 way tie for 4th~ these 2 guys are in my opinion, the "cool older sunbae", they have that kind cool older person vibe and they are both very nice and talented. did i mention yoon can also pop and zen is amazing at martial arts?
